If you find yourself in a drawn out fight where both parties are doing minor damage it can be a saving grace. In a fight where you both do massive damage and a few hits will cause death for either, bring something upgraded on a damage specific path instead. The Claymore is a Large Sword in Demon's Souls. It's crushing blows rapidly deplete an opponent's stamina, easily breaking their guard.
